Day 4 saw us going to the National Taiwan Science Education Center, an unique feature of our tour which is rarely found in other itineraries.
We had our breakfast at 幸福合作社, a very homely, relaxed but relatively crowded place near the area. The menu was all written on green boards with chalk and I was rather touched by the efforts put in to draw a life-like hamburger on it. The sandwiches we ordered were simple but wholesome with lots of ingredients inside, much to my dear's liking.

The simple and tasty breakfast |
The National Taiwan Science Education Center had some exhibits, 3D movie and motion simulator, which required us to buy some tickets. There were some discounts, thanks to the Visitor Pass which we got on the first day at the airport. After viewing all the special exhibits, it was soon lunch and we were deliberating on whether to stay at the centre or go somewhere else for lunch. We chose the former in order to save the time spent on the travelling which could be used for viewing of the exhibits, and that was to be regretted, as the food served at the center was really simply unappetising. Nonetheless, we continued with the rest of the exhibits till the center's closing time.

Our dinner place was at the Modern Toilet Theme Restaurant, a place where my dear had always wanted to go ever since we were disappointed by its unannounced closure during our Hong Kong trip. The food was so-so but I guess the attraction would be its unique decor and the novelty of its utensils. One annoying thing though was that there was a minimum spending imposed on each diner, thus as a result, we had to buy one more item to top up the bill. I guess the practice was implemented to deter people from just spending a small amount to take photos of the restaurant.

We later proceeded to our first night market: 士林夜市 to finally immerse ourselves in the weekend crowded atmosphere and also to fill our stomach as we were not really full. After some desserts and snacks, we made our way back to the hotel. End of Day 4.
