Movie Marathon Part 2

I guess since Harry Potter decided to have a second instalment for the show, we (my dear being a fan) too have a second leg to our movie watching.

I cannot really remember much of what happened in the afternoon after my cca meeting in the morning, but I guess I should be making my way to my dear's place to put down my bag before travelling to AMK Hub together.

We had dinner at New York New York, and it was some sort of a reminiscence of the wooing days, whereby I thick-skinnedly joined in their meal date, though there were more people this time. My dear was also very jubilant that her best friend managed to rush for the movie as well. Especially since it is their thing. But as there were some time after dinner and before the midnight movie, we went to play arcade, even though we were merely spectators in this event most of the time.

I wasn't a fan of the book but I quite like the movie this time round. It did not seemed that disjointed as before and it was full of suspense. Even though I was tired prior to the show, but I must say the show got my attention. Maybe I've got the Potter-cyclopedia as my girlfriend thus I can follow the plot quite well (Or maybe it's because I've watched the previous instalments and got numbed to the illogical areas?).

Once again, spoilers ahead. It started off with Potter trying to save his hateful room mate cousin from the death eaters and thus by using magic in the mundane world, he was entitled to a trial by the ministry of magic, in which he was saved by the wits of Dumbledore. Hmm, was that in the previous movie or was it a flashback? Never mind (cos my dear reminded me that this was part of the fifth movie rather than the one i'm talking about), anyway, Potter was then escorted away from his home and he was kagebushined in order to escape to a safe hideout which somehow the powers of the dark cannot find. There were some injuries here and there but in all the members of the Order of Pheonix were safe. At least they did not die here.

I guess news later broke out that the ministry of magic was taken over by the evil Voldemort and the trio went in search of Voldemort's things horcruxes, which supposedly will weaken him if they were destroyed. And so they went on this quest and apparently Ron got jealous halfway and left Harry and Hermione to do their searching. Well, later Ron came back and in the midst of destroying the thing, he was given the genjutsu of Harry and Hermione kissing in this misty naked setting, just like how Naruto will appear after performing his sexy jutsu. Well, Ron was not like Naruto who gets trapped in a genjutsu so easily and thus destroyed the thing.

Later on, they were captured by the minions (the Snatchers) and one of the goblins the elf died while trying to save them. After which, the first instalment ended with Voldemort digging up the Dumbledore's grave to retrieve one of the items for the deathly hallows, which was explained previously here and there in the movie.

I believe I will be watching the next part with my dear and her friends. I am such a sucker for sequels.

*updated after some reminders from a few harry potter fans, especially my dear...
