The Lucky Dates...

Guess the next step after the proposal would naturally be the choosing of the date for the banquet and solemnisation. After consulting both parents, to which they have no ideas or comments about, this step seems relatively simple. However, the superstitious me just have to make things complicated and I guess my dear and I had some friendly sparring of words over this (friendly enough for her to continue to still want to marry me). I guess I was just asking for it (at least I was convinced that way after the sparring). Lol.

It started out with an online search for generic auspicious dates and two dates during the school holidays came up: 2 June and 9 June. Initially, we chose 9 June so as to allow more time for preparation for the wedding.

However, the inner me kept sounding out that those dates are generic and that they may not really fit us. Thus, this started the online research for ba zi and how to read them. Well, as usual, information like this is not easily obtainable for free and thus the long time spent looking for them. This gesture somehow incurs the irritation of me lady for I seemed to be spending more time on this than on her.

Anyway, (skipped the sparring) we eventually opted for the geomancer used by her friend. After a visit to her shop on 5 May, we got the following piece of heaven's secret (that's what they always say in the past) for $100. Eventually, we decided to have our date on 2 June instead. And I guess the rest are history, though once in a while, my dear will still chide me about this.
Our day =)
